US 40 Pavement Reconstruction – Brazil, Indiana

US Route 40, referred to as “National Avenue” by locals, is the primary thoroughfare through Brazil, Indiana. The route provides a critical means of transportation for Clay County residents who commute to and from Terre Haute, which is located only 17 miles southeast of Brazil. Prior to 2015, the road was largely in disrepair, had sparse traffic signals, and had many patches of exposed brick.

We recently captured aerial drone photos of the recent construction and infrastructure improvements begun in 2015, including:
