Project Overview
A New Era for Boston Field – Nelsonville, OH
The newly upgraded track and field at Nelsonville-York High School in Nelsonville, OH, is featured in a series of drone images by Dronegenuity. These aerial and ground-level shots highlight the improvements at Boston Field, including synthetic turf, freshly painted lines, and bold "Buckeyes" branding. The "NY" logo at midfield reflects the school's athletic pride.
Nelsonville, a town with Appalachian roots and a history in coal and brick industries, has always valued high school sports. Since the Nelsonville-York City School District formed in 1967, the Buckeyes’ football team has been a strong competitor in the Tri-Valley Conference (TVC). The field updates provide a modern space while honoring this tradition.
The drone images capture the resurfaced track, field, and stadium seating. The grandstands and press box are well-placed for fans and game-day events. Track and field facilities, including the long jump pit and shot put area, have been upgraded for athletes.
Wide shots of the campus show the natural surroundings of Southeast Ohio, with tree-covered hills in the background. The images highlight the school’s investment in its sports programs, ensuring Nelsonville-York athletes have a high-quality place to train and compete for years to come.
